Welcome to The Woodpeckers, our comfortable, dog-friendly, self-contained ground-floor annexe in Alresford, near Colchester, Essex.
Whether you're visiting family or friends, working locally, attending a special occasion or simply looking for a relaxing break The Woodpeckers offers a welcoming home from home throughout the year.
The Accommodation
Ideal for two adults and one child, The Woodpeckers has its own private entrance, cosy lounge and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom and private patio.
The kitchen includes an oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and everything needed for preparing meals. The lounge has comfortable seating, a Smart TV and Wi-Fi, making it ideal for relaxing after a busy day.
The bedroom has a comfortable super king-size zip-and-link bed, which can also be arranged as two single beds if required. A sofa bed is available for an additional child.
Private driveway parking is provided, along with convenient key-safe access.
Gardens and Outdoor Facilities
Guests are welcome to enjoy our lovely gardens and shared outdoor swimming pool, available from mid-May to September. Please bring your own swimming towels.
We are dog-friendly, so your four-legged companion is welcome too! You may also spot our own dog and rescue chickens enjoying the grounds.
A Great Location
The Woodpeckers is ideally situated for visiting family and friends in Alresford, Wivenhoe and Colchester, as well as for contractors and business travellers working in the local area.
We're also conveniently placed for exploring Brightlingsea, the Essex coastline, countryside walks and nearby attractions.
A Little More Information
The Woodpeckers is attached to our family home, so some everyday household noise may occasionally be heard. The property is also beside a road, and some traffic noise is possible. However, guests have their own private entrance and accommodation.
